It’s not every day I get asked to film a wedding in Tasmania, so I jumped at this opportunity of heading to this stunning location at Glen Albyn Estate.
But I couldn’t enjoy this occasion on my own. I had to bring the wife with me, so I didn’t miss her too much. She was a trooper on this trip, considering she was pregnant with our son at the time.
Filming Kristy-Lee and Logan in Hobert filled me with joy before I even hit the record button. The area is next level epic. From the lush surroundings, the bodies of water, and the love that filled the air, it actually wasn’t that difficult to capture some fantastic moments. In fact, the most challenging part was cutting it down so I could fit everything into the video, by the way it was that great it got featured on Hello May! Check out the blog post here.
Exploring the surroundings of Glen Albyn Estate with Kristy-Lee and Logan allowed us to discover some perfect spots to get some footage. Even they were lost for words as to how stunning this area was. Sadly, we couldn’t stay out all day and uncover every secret of the grounds. There was partying to do.
The reception was a blast. I didn’t see anyone who wasn’t smiling or didn’t take the opportunity to get up and dance the second they were allowed to. But the highlight for me was all of the guests belting out a John Farnham song, led by Kristy-Lee on lead vocals.
There was no encore. Instead, we headed out into the glorious Hobart night sky and captured some final beautiful moments with the couple. It was the perfect end to the day and made me hope that Camelia and I get to return there very soon to shoot another wedding.
